What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between a farmer and their community. Members pay up front for a ‘share’, providing the farmer money for seeds and other necessary costs at the beginning of the season. These members receive a weekly portion of produce throughout the growing season, sharing in the bounty of the harvest. There are many benefits of a CSA. Members receive the highest quality produce, farmers have a guaranteed market, and everyone participates in a more connected and vibrant local economy.
